Georgia State University University Housing tells students they must check out of their room by March 29, in an email outlining their move-out procedures.
Students are given three hours from March 19 to March 29 to collect their belongings and check out of their room. Only a limited number of residents are allowed to move out during each time frame to support social distancing.
Bin rentals will not be provided because of “health concerns,” the email says. Therefore, University Housing encourages students to bring items to aid with moving out.
Prorated refunds will be offered to students who move out by March 29, as mentioned by Georgia State University President Mark Becker in an earlier message.
The university will also continue to house to students who are unable to leave due to their circumstances.
“Thank you for your continued cooperation during this difficult time,” the email says. “We understand the inconvenience and upheaval that this situation has caused for you, and we appreciate your assistance as we work to implement state policy and to reduce health risks to our campus community.”
