Mark Becker, president of Georgia State University, adds clarity to the recent suspension of classes in a message to the University community on March 13.
“These are unusual times that require each of us to adapt our work and daily living routines,” President Becker says.
The message reinforces that buildings on all campuses will be closed to students and the public until March 29. However, the University is still open to faculty and staff.
Those who are sick should refrain from visiting campus. Additionally, meetings should be moved to online platforms instead of face-to-face.
Limited services at the Student Health Clinic and the Counseling Center will continue on the Atlanta campus, President Becker says.
