Cardi B made a couple M’s with her best friends. She turned all her L’s into lessons. Now, she’s getting an episode of a series dedicated to her.
Fast-rising hip-hop star Cardi B glided through the charts with her breakout single, “Bodak Yellow,” scoring a Billboard No. 1 in 2017.
The rise to fame came with time, and BET’s series “Tales” looks to bring a glimpse of that to life.
In an hour-long episode by Irv Gotti, Violet will be played by Ellie Foumbi. Violet balances a life of being an “exotic dancer” and raising her younger sister, all while wanting to thrive in hip-hop.
Music and television experts such as Justine Skye, Romeo Miller, Rasheeda and Lil Duval were cast to illustrate the achievement of the single, according to a press release.
The series has highlighted other artists such as Mary J. Blige, Meek Mill and Kanye West in the past.
